SpaceX returned the astronauts of NASA’s Crew-3 mission to Earth early on Friday morning, marking the sixth human spaceflight the corporate accomplished to this point.
Crew Dragon capsule Endurance splashed down off the coast of Tampa within the Gulf of Mexico.
“On behalf of the whole SpaceX workforce, welcome house,” Sarah Gillis, SpaceX lead operations engineer, mentioned on a webcast after splashdown. “It has been an absolute honor to help you in your mission, Endurance crew, and thanks for flying SpaceX.”
“That was an ideal experience,” Crew-3 commander Raja Chari mentioned.
Crew-3 spent 177 days in house, with practically all of that point spent on board the Worldwide House Station. The SpaceX-launched mission carried a workforce of 4: NASA astronauts Chari, Tom Marshburn and Kayla Barron, and European House Company astronaut Matthias Maurer.
